The IUA still has a few copies of the old ASA 2006 Rule Books. If any umpire would like a copy please contact me advising your name and address and I'll post out a copy to you. Registered Umpires Only I'm afraid!

ESF Umpiring Update
In 2008 the European Championships are taking place. Currently we have 2 ESF qualified umpires who can represent Ireland in Southampton in July. James O'Farrell and Patrick Kinsella are both available to participate.

Softball Ireland/IUA Meeting
The IUA recently met with Softball Ireland to discuss the ISA Byelaws and other matters. Full details are now available in the News Section.

Umpire Pants!
Marks and Spencers in Grafton Street have polyester-mix trousers of the right colour for umpires, easy care, stay pressed... for less than a fiver! They are on the "final reductions" rail at the back of the third floor men's dept, and as of this afernoon (Thursday) there was still a good selection of sizes (choice of waist/leg combinations). We don't imagine they will sell out, except to bargain-conscious Blues!
